Clear Coverage is now available for DME, HomeCare, Therapy and Outpatient Providers

Over the year, Virginia Premier will launch McKesson’s Clear Coverage to help providers submit authorization requests and medical records. This tool is a web-based system that provides an automated method for providers and health plans to manage and receive automated authorizations for services, coverage decisions and steerage to in-network providers in real time.

Benefits of Clear Coverage Include:

• 24/7 online access
• Providers can receive real-time authorization status
• Automatic APPROVALS for many services
• Services not automatically approved are immediately uploaded into Virginia Premier’s authorization system and queued for clinical review
• Providers will have the ability to upload medical records
• Providers can verify member eligibility and benefits

The services will roll-out to providers based on provider type and line of business. Stay tuned for more communications about your implementation date!
